When we activate the Early Warning Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD), the system usually provides an alarm according to the sampling pipe or sampling hole layout for the area that is monitoring. Depending on the ASD product itself, it can be 1 or 4 areas scanning ASD.
However, when an alarm warning is given by the system, the emergency response team still have to be at the location to rapidly detect the source of the fire.
Now let’s try to imagine a room with 50 electrical cabinets, with 2 rows of 25 cabinets. With an ASD with 4 zones scanning, each zone is covering around 12 to 13 cabinets. Even with this amount of cabinets, searching for an emergency situation it can be very stressful when the alarm is ringing and the clock is ticking.
How can we improve this?
